The CENTRAL Aspirations Programme

We are incredibly excited to launch our Aspirations Programme and are keen to recruit teachers into the programme who are aligned with our mission to support social justice through exceptional schools, our values and Our Distinctive Culture. You must have a passion for working in areas of high deprivation and be keen to improve the life chances of all the pupils/students in our Trust.

The Aspirations Programme is wide ranging and there are six possible entry points:

Entry Point 1: The Early Career Teacher Subject Enhanced Programme

  • This is a subject enhanced ECT programme for early career teachers.
  • In addition to the reduced timetable given to all ECTs, there would be an additional half day release per week for subject based CPD.
  • Opportunities for entry onto higher points than M1 on the main pay range.
  • Access to annual accelerated pay progression.

Entry Point 2: The Aspiring Middle Leadership Programme

  • This is a programme for teachers who are aspiring to become a middle leader in one of our schools or across the Trust.
  • There would be a half day release per week for middle leadership-based CPD. Candidates will be given the openings to develop their leadership experience over a variety of schools within the Trust. This will involve undertaking training, with a mentor to help guide and support.
  • Pay would likely be on the Leadership Pay Range with the range being commensurate with the candidates’ skills and experiences.
  • Access to annual accelerated pay progression.

Entry Point 3: The Aspiring Lead Practitioner Programme

  • This is a programme for teachers who are aspiring to be a lead practitioner in one of our schools or across the Trust.
  • There would be a half day release per week for lead practitioner-based CPD. Candidates will be given the openings to develop their skills and experience over a variety of schools within the Trust. This will involve undertaking training, with a mentor to help guide and support.
  • Pay would likely be on the Leadership Pay Range with the range being commensurate with the candidates’ skills and experiences.
  • Access to annual accelerated pay progression.

Entry Point 4: The Aspiring Leadership Programme

  • This is a programme for teachers aspiring to become a senior leader in one of our schools or across the Trust.
  • There would be a half day release per week for senior leadership-based CPD. Candidates will be given the openings to develop their leadership experience over a variety of schools within the Trust. This will involve undertaking training, with a mentor to help guide and support.
  • Pay would be on the Leadership Pay Range with the range being commensurate with the candidates’ skills and experiences.
  • Access to annual accelerated pay progression..

Entry Point 5: The Aspiring Headteacher Programme

  • This is a programme for teachers aspiring to become a Headteacher in one of our schools.
  • There would be a half day release per week for headship-based CPD. Candidates will be given the openings to develop their leadership experience over a variety of schools within the Trust. This will involve undertaking training, with a mentor to help guide and support.
  • Pay would be on the Leadership Pay Range with the range being commensurate with the candidates’ skills and experiences.
  • Access to annual accelerated pay progression.
