Benefits of working for us
Joining the Central Region Schools Trust (CRST) is your opportunity to develop both personally and professionally. Each school in our trust has its own individual distinctiveness and individuality, while profiting from the know-how, expertise and support that comes from a highly qualified and dedicated support team.
CRST will recognise your individual skills, encourage your creativity and provide opportunities for you to grow, learn and succeed. You can expect as an employee for CRST to invest in your career progression, with bespoke CPD offering the potential for ‘fast tracked’ growth into leadership roles which are offered across all the Trusts schools.
'We are Stronger Together'
Pensions: Teachers joining the Trust will become a member of the Teachers’ Pension Scheme and for Support Staff we adopt the Local Government Pension Scheme.
Staff Discounts: Staff have access to benefit from platforms offering multi-faceted discounted shopping only offered to the ‘Educational’ sector.
Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP): Staff have access and support from our professional EAP/Occupational Health providers, offering a complete physical and mental health wellbeing workplace and personal support service. We partner with Care First in terms of professional confidential counselling support and Workingwell in all aspects of employee Occupational Health support.
Salary Sacrifice: Staff can obtain ‘Childcare Vouchers’ and ‘Cycle to Work’ benefits from our agreed salary sacrifice schemes.
Working Parents: Staff are supported as working parents through a number of specific leave policies and initiatives, covering specific areas such as maternity, shared parental and paternity leave.
Flexible Working: We are committed to drive forward flexible working opportunities across our Trust to enable our staff’s personal and professional growth, hence, supporting specific work-life balance requirements.
In addition to all the above benefits of working with CRST we ensure that prospective members of staff who are moving from the public sector or other similar status (MAT/SAT) Trusts, without a break in service, can be reassured that continuous service will be fully acknowledge and honoured from day one of CRST employment.
Care first
We have recognised that all employees may need additional support and guidance, not only whilst they are working, but also sometimes in their personal lives, hence, we are pleased to be able to inform you of the launch of our new Employee Assistance Programme (EAP).
Care first is our new EAP provider, which offers a complete workplace and personal support service, all in the strictest confidence and on an individual basis. Whether an employee requires confidential information or advice with home or work matters, or more specific counselling relating to physical or mental health concerns, the Care first telephone and online services can assist.
Support is available via both online (www.carefirst-lifestyle.co.uk) and Freephone (0800 174319) services, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year.
